From Burgers & Bingo in 2014 to Rock'n the Divide 2026, our supporters have come together in countless ways to help ensure local children have food on the weekends. While some of these events have been retired, each one played an important role in helping us fight childhood hunger, and build a stronger community. We're grateful to everyone who made these events a success.

Toy & Grocery Giveaway

For the past six years, our annual Toy & Grocery Giveaway has helped make the holiday season brighter for local families facing financial hardship. This cherished tradition brings our community together to ensure children experience the joy of Christmas while providing families with extra support during a challenging time of year.

Each year, generous volunteers and donors make this event possible by hosting toy drives, wrapping gifts, organizing donations, and helping on the day of the giveaway. Their kindness and dedication create unforgettable Christmas memories for hundreds of children and their families.

Rock'n the Divide

Rock'n the Divide is our signature annual concert fundraiser, bringing together live music, great food, raffles, and community spirit—all to help fight childhood hunger. Every dollar raised supports Blessings in a Backpack's mission of providing weekend food to local children facing food insecurity, proving that a great night out can make a lasting impact. This event is held to support our program at Georgetown elementary.

For six wonderful years, Swing to End Hunger brought together golfers, sponsors, and volunteers for a day of fun, fellowship, and giving back. This annual tournament raised critical funds to help provide weekend food for local children facing food insecurity.

The success of the tournament was made possible by our incredible volunteers, generous sponsors, and dedicated golfers who returned year after year to support our mission. While we've since retired the event, the memories, friendships, and impact it created will always hold a special place in the history of Blessings in a Backpack Rancho Cordova.

Community food drives are one of the easiest and most impactful ways to help feed local children. Schools, businesses, churches, clubs, and neighborhood groups can make a real difference by collecting kid-friendly, nonperishable food items. Every donation helps ensure children have nutritious food to take home each weekend.
